The recent controversial remarks from Indian National Cricket team players Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul has received a lot of flak since it went air. BCCI have also suspended the disgraced cricketer and asked them to return to the country from Australia until further inquiry. However, former skipper Sourav Ganguly has urged the public to take more of a considerate approach and give them a chance of rectifying their mistake.

Meanwhile, there has been a social media uproar since the episode from Koffee With Karan hosted by Karan Johar went air. After the controversy it garnered, digital broadcasting platform Hotstar decided to bring it down from their website. However, CoA is yet to take a call on the quantum of punishment; however, is likely to announce it soon.

People make mistakes. Let’s not take it too far. I am sure whoever has done it will realise and come out as a better person. We are all human beings, not machines that everything you put out comes out perfect. You just have to live life and let others live,” Ganguly said in Mumbai.

Hardik Pandya’s brand image took a hit as Gillette decided to cut its ties with the all-rounder. Mumbai’s iconic Khar Gymkhana also decided to revoke the honorary three-year membership offered to Pandya following the controversy. Sourav Ganguly admitted they may have erred but suggested people should not be judgemental and allow them to improve.

They are responsible people and they maybe role models but they are humans. They are under pressure all the time to perform and certain things happen. We should move on and make sure it doesn’t happen again,” he concluded.
