Veteran Indian cricket journalist, Harsha Bhogle, has heaped high praise on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after their win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). RCB won their 5th game of IPL 2020 on Monday beating Kolkata Knight Riders by a staggering margin of 82 runs.
Batting first, the Royal of Bangalore smashed 194 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Ab de Villiers ran riot at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium as Mr. 30 of cricket proved every inch of his worth and smashed a breath-taking half-century to ensure that Royal Challengers Bangalore finished their innings on a very good score.
Coming out to chase the mighty target, the KKR batsmen never really looked settled on the field and their entire batting collapsed as they finished up on 112 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs.
Harsha Bhogle Lauds RCB
During the match and after the win, Harsha Bhogle couldn’t do anything but praise the RCB unit as they have appeared to be a deadly force to reckon with in this year’s IPL. Bhogle came up with a series of Tweets praising the Virat Kohli-led side.
He took to Twitter and wrote, “#RCB have read the conditions perfectly and their spinners, outstanding throughout the tournament, are on fire. I will repeat, this is the best balanced RCB team for a long time”

RCB Climb Up To The Third Spot
After this win, the Royal Challengers Bangalore displaced the Kolkata Knight Riders from the third spot in the IPL 2020 points table and booked the berth for themselves. They now have 5 wins in 7 games and are only behind Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in the standings.
As for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the tournament has been decent so far. Out of the 7 games played, KKR have managed to win 4 but have lost 3 games and if they eye a qualification in the playoffs, they will have to give it their all from hereon.
