No fast-bowler loves to be hit for sixes and Australia star Jhye Richardson is not an exception either. The right-arm pacer, who made his ODI debut earlier this year, was on the receiving end of some big hitting from his Australia teammate Glenn Maxwell during the ongoing Marsh One-Day Cup. Western Australia were hosting Victoria when Maxwell and Jhye Richardson had a go at each other.

On the very first ball of the 21st over, Jhye Richardson would have dismissed Maxwell after the batsman miscued a pull shot. However, Nathan Coulter-Nile dropped the catch, giving a reprieve to Maxwell. The right-handed batsman then made the most of the chance by thrashing the next three balls for three sixes.

Not surprisingly, Jhye Richardson was unhappy with whatever was happening and what happened on the final ball of the over pretty much proved that. The pacer came charging in and bowled a well-directed vicious bouncer at Maxwell. The batsman did well to duck in time and let the ball pass over his head.

But Jhye Richardson was not done yet as he gave a piece of his mind to Maxwell. The pacer seemingly asked Maxwell why he did not hit that bouncer for a six. Maxwell, on the other hand, just smiled and did not say anything.

Here is a clip of the incident involving Jhye Richardson and Glenn Maxwell:

Meanwhile, the dropped catch did not cost Western Australia much. While Maxwell did go on to score a fifty, Western Australia thrashed Victoria by 125 runs to start their campaign on a thumping note. A 58-ball ton from Marcus Stoinis helped Western Australia post a huge total of 386 for 8.

Victoria, in reply, never looked in contention despite fifties from Maxwell and Nic Maddinson. They were eventually all out for 261 inside 40 overs.
