Three Pitch Invaders Arrested For Breaking The Rules During 2nd T20I At Mohali

A few times, the madness of the fans towards their heroes goes a bit high, which makes them perform unusual actions. Much to the same, three fans tricked the security to meet their heroes during the second T20I match at Mohali.

They have been remanded in 14-day judicial custody.:
Initially, it was Virat Kohli fan, Sandeep Kumar of Yamunanagar, jumped from the ‘A’ Block grill and ran on to the pitch to shake hands with the Indian skipper. On his way, he appeared to even obstruct a cop who came for him.

Soon after, another fan, Rajesh Kumar of Churu in Rajasthan scaled the ‘B’ Block fence and entered the pitch. The third accused, Pawan Kumar of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, was sitting in the members block when he also dodged and police official and came in.
All three pitch invaders were booked at the Phase-VIII police station for criminal trespass, obstructing public servants, and using criminal force to deter cops. Station house officer (SHO) sub-inspector Jagdeep Singh Brar said: “They have been remanded in 14-day judicial custody.”
They are now facing a case under Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) and 447 (criminal trespass) of the Indian Penal Code.

If proven, Section 353 carries a sentence of up to two years, while the other two charges entail jail time of up to three months each. A local court on Thursday sent them to judicial custody for 14 days.
Coming to the report of the 2nd game, Virat Kohli scored a brilliant half-century as India won the match by seven wickets. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were off to a flying start before Andile Phehlukwayo dismissed Rohit for 12. David Miller pulled off a stunner to dismiss Shikhar Dhawan for 40 off the bowling of Tabrez Shamsi and Bjorn Fortuin dismissed Rishabh Pant.

South Africa posted 149/5 in 20 overs against India in the second T20 International in Mohali after the hosts won the toss and opted to field. Skipper Quinton de Kock top-scored with a 37-ball 52, while Temba Bavuma made 49. For India, Deepak Chahar scalped two wickets giving away 22 runs from his four overs. Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Navdeep Saini took one wicket each for the hosts.
