Tim Singer Smashes 313 In 40-Over Game In Sussex Cricket League

There is little denying the fact that cricket has more or less become batsmen’s game. The teams are constantly scoring over 300 runs in ODIs and are also chasing it down with relative ease. However, a batsman single-handedly scoring 300 is something unheard of. However, Colemans Hatch batsman Tim Singer has finally made it possible.
Tim Singer smashed an incredible 313 in their Division 8 Central match with Three Bridges 3rd XI. His knock contained a staggering 42 fours and 19 sixes as he scored a monumental triple hundred in the Sussex Cricket League. What makes his achievement even more incredible is that it was a 40-over each side contest.

Singer’s incredible knock helpedColemans Hatch score 486-5 from 40 overs. Singer was well supported by Steve Pollard (70) in a 289 partnership and Steve Medhurst (51) in a partnership of 139. In reply, Three Bridges managed just 277 for 7. For Three Bridges, Suraj Weerarathne was the most expensive bowler, conceding 121 runs from his nine overs.
“I haven’t scored many runs for a while, but did feel in good form on Saturday. I know people will probably think I’m playing at the wrong standard, but I haven’t scored a hundred in years. It was just my day,” Tim Singer told Mid Sussex Times.
“I’m not particularly mobile, so I don’t look for many singles, which means I tend to try for the boundaries,” he added.
