Top 10 Teams With Most Centuries In T20I Cricket; Following 60-over cricket and 50-over cricket, the modern day-to-day life has demanded 20-over format to get entertained. Surprisingly, it has become a huge success in the game of cricket. Fans all over the world liked the quick action on the field for the entire 180 minutes. The format not only attracted the fans but also enhanced the skills of the player to the next level.

With only 120 balls in the hand, perhaps, only a few fans would have expected to watch a batsman raising his bat for a century. But, surprisingly, it wasn’t the case, as a lot of cricketers came up with a brilliant show in the middle to make things fall in place. Yeah, the 10th position in the chart has been shared by 15 teams with all the teams having one player, who knocked a century for their respective team. It was Tamim Iqbal for Bangladesh while Alex Hales knocked it for England.

Apart from Bangladesh and England, countries like Nepal, Austria, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Pakistan, Kuwait, Namibian, UAE, Spain, Romania, P.N.G and Vanuatu have got one player scoring hundred for the team. Of all, Austria deserve to take the 10th place, as they got centurion only in 5 games they played thus far.

9. Sri Lanka:

The Island nation Sri Lanka holds second place in the chart. When you hear Sri Lankan batting, the four names that strike your mind are Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Tillakaratne Dilshan.

They have produced a great number of brilliant batsmen who have been instrumental in the success of Sri Lanka. However, of them, only two members succeeded in bagging a century. They are Mahela Jayawardene and Tilakaratne Dilshan.

You might be surprised to see this name on the chart but the fans, who follow the game of Associate nations wouldn’t be surprised at all. They have knocked a couple of centuries in this format to be placed in the chart. George Munsey and Berrington are the two individuals, who scored hundred for Scotland. Munsey scored against the Netherlands in the last September 2019 while the other scored against Bangladesh in 2012.

Yet another team, which is a dominant force in the Associate cricket. They also got a couple of century-scorers in this format of the game to see themselves above a few highly-rated teams. Wickramasekara and Davizi scored centuries for the Czech Republic against Turkey and Malta respectively.

6. Afghanistan:

The next in the list is Afghanistan, who made rapid strides in International Cricket. They have announced themselves in the world cricket like a force and pulling out victories against top-class teams.

They already produced top-quality players while Mohammad Shahzad and Hazratullah Zazai are the two, who made Afghanistan sit at 6th in this chart. Shahzad scored 118 against Zimbabwe while Zazai scored 162 against Ireland. It is also the second-highest score in T20I cricket.

Mmm… I guess you would have surprised to see their name at this place of the chart. Perhaps, a few more but all the action you saw of West Indies is sadly being part of franchise cricket. Unfortunately, those century-scorers are not representing their nations for obvious reasons.

Still, they bagged 4 centuries, as Evin Lewis and Chris Gayle scored a couple of centuries each. Evin Lewis scored both his centuries against India while Gayle scored it against England and South Africa.

4. South Africa:

The classy team is placed at 4th in the chart. They have delivered many scintillating cricketers in the form of AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis and the other, who are ruling the T20 cricket across the globe. Still, they just scored 4 centuries in this format of the game.

David Miller, Faf du Plessis, MN Van Wyk and Richard Levi are the four cricketers, who smashed a century for South Africa. Miller scored it against Bangladesh while Van Wyk and Faf du Plessis scored against West Indies. Levi smashed century against New Zealand.

3. Australia:

Can there be any chart without the name of Australia being involved in the game of cricket?  Such has been their dominance over the years. They have a number of brilliant players in the form of David Warner, Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell, who can put the ball away from their presence with ease. In total, they bagged 7 centuries.

Glenn Maxwell scored thrice in his T20I career so far while Aaron Finch smashed a couple of times. He is also the proud owner of the highest score in T20I with 172 against Zimbabwe. The other contributor for Australia is Shane Watson.

The team, who has always been a force to reckon in this format of the game is at second in the chart. In fact, they equalled the top team with 7 centuries in their kitty but the only difference was that the Kiwis has played one extra-match compared to the team, which registered top position.

The seven century-scorers of New Zealand are Colin Munro, Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum. Coincidentally, all the three players are openers of the team. Colin Munro scored it thrice for New Zealand while Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill knocked it twice.

Well, of late, it has become a habit for the Indian National Cricket Team to take the number one position. Much like New Zealand, Indians also registered 7 centuries in the record books thus proving that India is still serving the world-class batsman to the game of cricket.

They got the best batsman in the limited-overs format Rohit Sharma in the lineup, who registered as many as 4 T20I centuries to his name. KL Rahul of Karnataka has smashed a couple of centuries while Suresh Raina smashed one century for India.
