The Stadium has a fort in the background and grass banks, making the viewing experience pretty special for the fans.

The premier Test venue of the island nation was destroyed by the Tsunami in 2004 but was rebuilt later.

Named after the island’s first-ever International cricket, the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St. Lucia provides for some stunning views and is easily one of the most picturesque stadiums in the Caribbean.

The stadium is situated on the Beausejour Hills, which is just around the corner from the Rodney Bay in Gros. Islet St Lucia. The stadium hosted its first international ODI in 2002 and its maiden Test, a year later.

The stadium has hosted the 2007 World Cup and 2010 T20 World Cup fixtures and is the home to the CPL franchise St.Lucia Stars.
