And, this season, we have seen a plethora of such cricketers- some familiar, some new- enthrall us with their prodigious talent and awe-inspiring temperament.
On that note, here’s a look at top-5 uncapped Indian players with most runs in IPL 2020:
Rahul Tewatia- 255
The spin-bowling all-rounder lit up the IPL with his situations defying and character-defining performances. His 53 against Kings XI Punjab, where he stroked 6 sixes in the last 8 deliveries he faced, after having managed 8 off his first 19, helped RR pull-off the highest run-chase in the history of the IPL.
Tewatia followed it up with yet another match-winning knock against SunRisers Hyderabad later in the tournament, proving that his heist against KXIP was not just a flash in the pan. The all-rounder was equally brilliant with the ball as he offered brilliant control during the middle-overs.

Nitish Rana’s IPL 2020 campaign is an apt reflection of how his side Kolkata Knight Riders performed this season- inconsistent.
Rana blew hot and cold throughout the season with a single-digit score being followed by a 50+ total.

SuryaKumar Yadav- 461
Yadav has been absolutely sensational in all formats of the game in domestic cricket in the past 2-3 years and he has emulated those exploits in the ongoing IPL edition as well.
The charismatic Mumbai batsman has enthralled fans as well as pundits with his gobsmacking strokeplay backed by astounding consistency this season.
Yadav once again displayed his imperious touch in the 1st Qualifier against Delhi Capitals as he racked up yet another 50+ score besides becoming the 1st uncapped batsman to breach the 2000-run mark.

Ishan Kishan- 483

Apart from his obvious flamboyance, what has been heartening to see in Ishan’s batting this season is the manner in which he has paced his innings in crunch situations.
Kishan has thus far racked up 483 runs in just 12 innings at an average of 53.67 and a blistering strike-rate of 144.18 with four 50+ scores.
