Getting to the hundred run-mark is always exciting for any player. In fact, we have seen some exciting celebrations from the batsmen after getting to their milestone over the years.

The batsmen always greet the crowd as well as his teammates after scoring their hundred. Meanwhile, we have seen all types of celebration in the game.

Some have been filled with joy while some are filled with anger when a player gets criticised.

5. Misbah Ul Haq celebration at Lord’s.

Former Pakistan skipper Misbah Ul Haq scored a fine hundred in the first Test match at Lord’s in the 2016 Tour. Misbah’s 114 runs helped the visitors in getting to a par score of 339 in the first innings.

After reaching his hundred, Misbah gave a salute to the dressing room. Furthermore, he went on to do a couple of push-ups, as he scored his 10th Test hundred at the age of 42 years.

In fact, as Pakistan went on to win that match by a margin of 75 runs, the whole Pakistan team celebrated by doing push-ups in front of their skipper.

4. Denesh Ramdin had a message for Sir Vivian Richards

Windies wicketkeeper-batsman Denesh Ramdin had a message for Sir Vivian Richards after completing his hundred in the third Test against England in 2012. Ramdin took a paper from his pocket that read as ‘Hey Viv talk Nah’.

Meanwhile, Sir Vivian Richards had criticised the gloveman for his poor run of form. However, it didn’t go down well with the right-hander.

Ramdin scored a fine 107 to take Windies score to 426. Nevertheless, the match ended in a stalemate. Furthermore, Denesh Ramdin was fined 20% of his match fees for this gesture to the Windies great.

Dravid career took a drastic turn after this innings.

Rahul Dravid got criticised in the media before the famous Kolkata Test. Dravid had to face the aftermath that he scores his runs at a speed of a tortoise.

However, Dravid played the match changing innings of his career at Kolkata when he put together a gargantuan partnership with VVS Laxman.

In fact, Dravid also struggled to get going in the initial stages of that innings. However, he chose not to give up. The Wall kept digging in and finally reached his well-deserved century. Thus, Dravid who was known to keep his cool throughout his career raised his bat towards the press box as his answer to all the critics.

2 Steven Smith remembers Phillip Hughes after getting to his hundred.

Smith’s salute will be remembered for ages.

A major setback hit Australian cricket after the sudden death of their southpaw batsman Phillip Hughes in 2014. Smith dedicated his hundred to his former teammate, as he went to 408-mark on the ground and raised his bat towards the sky.

It was a brilliant gesture from a right-hander for his late friend. Smith went on to score an unbeaten 162 in the first innings which was followed by another unbeaten 52 in the second innings. Australia was able to win the Adelaide Test by 48 runs.

In fact, Indian captain Virat Kohli almost pulled off a miraculous win, as he scored hundreds in both the innings. However, Australia had just enough runs on the board.

Root answered his critics in style.

There were doubts raised over the place of Joe Root in the white-ball format.

In fact, Root got dropped from the T20I decider after his poor run of form. However, Root was able to show that class is permanent while the form is temporary. Root dropped the bat (as drop the mic), as he gave a perfect reply to all the critics.

Root scored back to back centuries against India to take England to an emphatic series win of 2-1. The right-hander showed he is the ROOT of the England batting order, as he scored 216 runs in the three-match ODI series.

Therefore, the right-hander was the Player of the series for his fine show with the bat.
