Mike Hesson to File His Nomination as India’s Head Coach:

Former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson is set to apply as India’s head coach. Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had invited the applicants to apply for the position of the chief coach. Also, the apex body of India cricket has stated that July 30 is the deadline.

Well, Hesson had a coaching stint with the Kiwis between 2013 and 2018 respectively. Recently, he had a stint with Indian Premier League franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

Imam-ul-Haq Lands into Controversy; Accused of Having Multiple Affairs with Women:

The Twittersphere had taken Imam-ul-Haq to the task after the young batsman has been accused of dating 7-8 women. Also, the Twitter world had lashed out at Imam for his ‘infidelity’.

Earlier, screenshots were leaked on Twitter which has eventually exposed Imam. The second leading run-getter for Pakistan at the 2019 World Cup is yet to respond to those allegations. Besides, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has deemed it as Imam’s personal issue.

Thus, the apex body of Pakistan cricket had refused to comment on the latest controversy.

Sandeep Warrier Replaces Navdeep Saini in India A Squad:

An exciting medium-pacer Sandeep Warrier has earned the call-up for the India ‘A’ squad. He will replace Navdeep Saini, who’s the part of the senior team for Windies tour.

Warrier had represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2019. Also, he had a great run in the domestic fold.

The 28-year-old Thrissur-born Warrier had featured in 46 first-class matches. He has bagged 153 wickets apart from 48 wickets in 39 List A fixtures.

In 43 T20s, Warrier had bagged as many wickets at an average of 25.6.

MS Dhoni to Train Under Parachute Regiment in Kashmir:

Holding the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army since 2011, MS Dhoni has been assigned patrolling guard duty in Kashmir. It will be part of his two-month training, which was in the pipeline for an extended period.

However, it has been clarified that he won’t take part in any sort of operation in the region.

Recently, the wicketkeeper-batsman has decided to take a sabbatical which also saw him missing the impending Windies tour.

Lasith Malinga Satisfied with his ODI Career:

Sri Lankan veteran Lasith Malinga has expressed contentment with the way he was bid adieu to the 50-over format. He will play his last ODI on Friday (July 26) against Bangladesh.

Malinga stressed it’s the opportunity for new players to set focus on the 2023 World Cup. He also stated that the Lankans are capable of winning the ODI showpiece.
