Young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who is a part of the Team India’s limited-overs squad for the Windies tour, believes it will be hard for him to fill in ‘big shoes’ of MS Dhoni.

However, the 21-year-old Pant maintained he is undoubtedly focused on his game and is keen to improve by learning from his seniors.

Virat Kohli to sing National Anthem in Pro Kabaddi League:

Team India skipper MS Dhoni will sing the National Anthem of the ongoing seventh season of the Pro Kabbadi League in Mumbai.

On July 27 (Saturday) Kohli will mark the beginning of U Mumba clash against Puneri Paltan by singing country’s anthem.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Leg will run between July 26 and August 2 respectively.

Mohammad Amir Announces Retirement from Test Cricket:

Mohammad Amir, 27, had announced retirement from the Test set-up on Friday with an immediate effect. The left-arm paced had featured in 36 Tests for Pakistan to snare 119 scalps since playing Galle Test against Sri Lanka.

The paceman had reaffirmed that he will focus on the white-ball cricket with 2020 T20 World Cup scheduled in Australia in November.

Australia Reveals 17-man Squad for the Ashes 2019:

Cricket Australia had announced 17-man Ashes squad on Friday (July 26) with James Pattinson making an entry. The paceman had last appeared for Australia in 2016 during a Test outing.

Also, wicketkeeper-batsman from Tasmania Matthew Wade had made it to the squad alongside Cameron Bancroft, who returns to the field since March 2018.

The medium-pacer Michael Neser had also earned his spot alongside experienced Peter Siddle.

Australia will take on England in the first Ashes Test at Edgbaston on August 1.

Pakistan batsman, Mohammad Hafeez has signed with Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for the seventh edition of the CPL 2019.

The six-team tournament will run between September 4 and October 12 on the Caribbean shores.

Zaheer Abbas Urges Sarfaraz Ahmed to Focus on his Batting:

Pakistan batting Zaheer Abbas, who had urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to streamline the domestic cricket, had further urged Men in Green skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed to set focus on his batting form.

The wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz couldn’t do much with the bat during his captaincy reign.

The veteran cricketer also suggested that Sarfaraz should give up Test captaincy or relinquish from the post of limited-overs set-up. Abbas reiterated that it will ease things up for the gloveman.
