David Warner is 100 Per Cent Fit for the Ashes Opener: Justin Langer
Australian chief coach Justin Langer stated that David Warner will be fit to represent Australia in the Ashes opener on August 1st at Edgbaston.
Warner had received a blow on his thigh after inside-edging the delivery bowled by Michael Neser.
Meanwhile, much to the relief for Australia camp, Warner had also walked out to bat in nets on Tuesday.
Mitchell Starc Could Miss Edgbaston Test:
Australia’s speedster Mitchell Starc might miss the Ashes opener as he is fighting for a spot with Josh Hazlewood and Peter Siddle.
The pacers had done exceedingly well for Australia which already saw Starc leading the ICC World Cup wickets column. Starc has claimed 27 wickets to clinch the most wickets in a single world cup edition.
On the other hand, the back injury has kept Hazlewood out of the scene since January.
Sundaram Ravi Left Out from the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires:
Following mixed results, the world body ICC had omitted Sundaram Ravi from its Elite Panel of Umpires for 2019-20.
Also, Windies umpire Joel Wilson and Durham-based umpire Michael Gough have replaced retired Ian Gould and Ravi respectively.
Wilson had officiated in 63 ODIs, 26 T20Is and 13 Tests. Besides, English umpire had made his umpiring debut in 2013. He had officiated in 59 ODIs, 14 T20Is and nine Tests.
Virat Kohli Hails Ajinkya Rahane:
India skipper Virat Kohli has effusively praised Ajinkya Rahane for playing a pivotal role for India particularly in the Test fold.
The top-order batsman had done his job while being technically sound with the bat.

Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar had picked Team India skipper Virat Kohli as his favourite cricketer over Rohit Sharma. During a Q&A session, Akhtar had named Kohli as the best in business. He also believes that the Men in Blue won’t require any change in the leadership role.
Also, Akhtar had termed MS Dhoni as the ‘legend’ during the question and answer session.
