Following an ICC World Cup 2019 duty, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has sacked head coach Steve Rhodes. The premature end to Rhodes’ journey came after the Tigers road to progress deeper in the ODI showpiece came to an end in the league stage competition.

Imad Wasim Credits Sarfaraz Ahmed for Four Consecutive Wins:

Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has credited skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed for being an inspiration in the team.

He has lauded Sarfaraz following a loss against India at the Old Trafford in Manchester on June 16.

The spin-bowling all-rounder Imad has further cleared the air over grouping. He added, if the groupings would take place in the team, then he would not have participated.

With Team India opener Rohit Sharma being in imperious form, his childhood coach, Dinesh Lad, maintained that Rohit is keen to win the World Cup title for MS Dhoni, who’s playing his final World Cup.

Rohit, who has been in ominous touch, has already slammed five tons in the ongoing World Cup. Rohit is the leading run-getter with 647 runs in nine matches.

Joe Root Ready to Give Best in Semis Against Australia:

England batsman Joe Root, who is the leading run-scorer for hosts, has maintained that they’re ready to give their best in the semis against Australia. He also conceded that the comments of Nathan Lyon wouldn’t distract what the Three Lions have been aiming for so long.

Root also asserted that Lyon’s comments might be deliberate in a bid to take off the pressure.

Liam Plunkett Warns Australia Ahead of Birmingham semi-final:

England pacer Liam Plunkett has warned Aaron Finch-led Australia ahead of the second semi-final ahead Ashes rivals Australia.

Plunkett maintained England is a different unit. Earlier, England had failed at the fag end of league stage fixtures before registering a strong comeback against New Zealand. He reiterated that times have changed as England are a ‘different sort of animal’.
