Tri-series 2018: Fourth T20I - Team India Player Ratings

India won the fourth T20I by six wickets at the R Premadasa stadium and now leads the points table with four points. India chased down the target in 17.3 overs as Manish Pandey top scored for the tourists with 42 runs.

Sri Lanka batted first and posted a respectable total of 152/9 in 20 overs courtesy a 55 runs innings by opener Kusal Mendis.

Kusal Mendis and Upul Tharanga combined together for a 62 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. Mendis continued with his form with the bat and went onto score another T20I half century. Sri Lanka suffered a middle order collapse as they slumped from 96/2 to 120/6.

For India, Washington Sundar was the most economical bowler as he gave away just 22 runs in his four overs and picked up two wickets. However, both Vijay Shankar and Yuzvendra Chahal were on the expensive as they leaked runs at over 8 runs per over.

Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for India picking up four wickets giving away just 27 runs in four overs.

India’s top order had a rare failure as Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan failed. However, the Indian middle order stepped up as Manish Pandey scored 42 runs and Dinesh Karthik scored 39 runs.

Akila Dhananjaya was the pick of the bowlers picked up two wickets.

Rohit Sharma’s miseries with the bat continued as he scored just 11 in the fourth T20I after he failed to in the match. However, his captaincy skills were upto the mark in the match as he made intelligent bowling changes.

Shikhar Dhawan-(2/10)

Shikhar Dhawan had a rare failure as he could only score 8 runs in the fourth match of the tri-series.

KL Rahul – (4/10)

KL Rahul failed to impress the fans and selectors in the match as he could only score 18 in his comeback to the Indian side.

Suresh Raina- (6/10)

Suresh Raina played a fiery innings of 27 off 15 deliveries and was involved in a handy partnership with KL Rahul.

Manish Pandey-(7/10)

Manish Pandey guided India to victory as he played few shot coming in at number five. He hit three boundaries and a six and remained unbeaten at 42.

Dinesh Karthik- (6/10)

Indian wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik came to the crease when India needed 68 runs. He along with Manish Pandey guided India to victory. He remained unbeaten at 39.

Vijay Shankar – (5/10)

Playing his third international match, Vijay Shankar bowled an impressive spell of bowling. Shankar picked up one wicket and gave away 30 runs in his three overs.

Washington Sundar bowled an economic spell as he gave away just 21 runs in his four overs. Sundar also picked up the important wicket of Kusal Perera.

Shardul Thakur was adjudged the man of the match as he picked up four wickets and gave away 27 runs in his four overs.

Jaydev Unadkat- (3/10)

Jaydev Unadkat was the most expensive bowler in the Indian team as he gave away 33 runs in his three overs. He picked up the wicket of Akila Dhananjaya.

Yuzvendra Chahal- (3/10)

Yuzvendra Chahal picked up just one wicket in his four overs but gave away 34 runs.
