Twitter Goes Bonkers After Seeing Yuvraj Singh In Mumbai Indians Jersey

There is an air of excitement surrounding the Mumbai Indians’ camp ahead of the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League and the reason is Yuvraj Singh. The veteran batsman is all geared up to don the Mumbai Indians jersey this season. Yuvraj’s career is completely off the track now.  The World Cup-winner made a fairy-tale return to the Indian side during the One-day International series against England in 2017. He went on to play his career-best knock of 150 during that series.

The 50-over competition was his first ODI series in four years. However, things only went downhill for him from thereon. He had a poor 2017 Champions Trophy in England and Wales where he aggregated 105 runs in four innings. Eventually, it was followed by yet another dismal outing against Windies. He also failed the mandatory Yo-Yo test thrice which made the national selectors ignore the experienced campaigner. Since the tour of Caribbean, Yuvraj has not been recalled again.

He was then looking primed to suffer another setback in the last IPL auction. The southpaw had gone unsold in the first round of the auction. However, Mumbai Indians gave him a lifeline by buying him at his base price at the last moment. The three-time IPL winners  bought Yuvraj at his base price of Rs one crore.

Fans across the country are now excited to see how Yuvraj live up the expectation. Mumbai Indians, nonetheless, took the excitement a notch higher by unveiling Yuvraj’s jersey. The Punjab star will be donning the number 12 once again this time but in the colour blue.

And as soon as the franchise posted the image of Yuvraj Singh’s jersey on Twitter, the excited fans could not help but express their excitement. Here are some reactions:

Meanwhile, Yuvraj will be looking to deliver this season after a forgettale campaign last year. In the last edition of the Indian Premier League, he managed to score just 65 runs from 8 games while playing for Kings XI Punjab.
