Riding on whirlwind knocks from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, India posted a mammoth total of 240 for 3 against West Indies in the third T20I. Asked to bat first, India openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul came out all guns blazing. Mumbai has always been a high-scoring ground and with West Indies being the opposition, Rohit Sharma and Rahul made sure to give the team a flying start.
In the second over, Rahul hit Jason Holder for two fours to break the shackles before Rohit Sharma dispatched Sheldon Cottrell for two fours and a six in the very next over to set the momentum. By the time the fourth over ended, India had raced away to 44 without loss. Rohit Sharma started the fifth over in the same manner by hitting Khary Pierre’s first ball for a six as India completed the 50-run mark.
India raced away to 72 for no loss at the end of the powerplay. Both Rohit Sharma and Rahul were going great guns. But even after the field restrictions came to an end, there was no stopping Rohit and Rahul as the two went on to score their respective fifties. The hosts, on the other hand, crossed the 100-run mark in just the eighth over.

Kesrick Williams finally gave West Indies the much-needed breakthrough when he accounted for Rohit in the twelfth over. Rohit scored 71 off just 24 balls and added 135 runs with Rahul for the first wicket. India then promoted Rishabh Pant to number three but the youngster failed to get going and was out for a two-ball duck.
But the breakthroughs did not bring any respite for West Indies as Virat Kohli piled more miseries on them along with Rahul. Kohli went on to score a 21-ball fifty. The partnership was finally broken in the final over when Rahul departed for 91.

Very little has gone right for Pant in the past few months. Muffed a gr8 opportunity to bat at no.3 against a flagging attack demoralised Rohit and Rahul

Rohit Sharma trying to act injured so he doesn't have to field. Will say it again he belongs in the Sehwag era.

I can’t think of any other Indian batsman who has hit 6s so frequently and so easily as Rohit Sharma. Not even Kapil Dev, Sandeep Patil, Viru Sehwag

What an innings, Rohit Sharma is giving anniversary gift to Kohli and Anushka, Never seen Kohli doing that on Rohit-Ritika anniversary.
