Team India opener Mayank Agarwal took Test batting to a whole new level as he converted his maiden Test century to a double ton against South Africa in Visakhapatnam. With a double century from Agarwal and 176 from Rohit Sharma, the host have taken a firm grip in the opening encounter.
Mayank came into the Indian team in Australia on the back some consistent runs in the domestic cricket for almost 18 months. He was left exposed to some of the world-class bowlers in seam friendly wickets but the Karnataka batsman responded well.
He showed the passion and determination needed to find success at the highest level. Mayank Agarwal started to give hints of his immense talent with fight knocks in Australia and finally made it big in his first-ever Test at home.
