Twitter Reactions: Indian Cricketers Congratulate Indian Hockey Team For Routing Pakistan

The Indian hockey team registered a great victory against arch-rivals Pakistan and started off the Harendra Singh era on a commanding note. They won by a 4-0 margin. It helped them open their account in the tournament. The Champions Trophy is being held at the Breda in the Netherlands. Pakistan was in the match for almost 50 minutes. However, from there on the Indians score 3 goals in the last 6 games to dash their hopes.

It was Ramandeep Singh who started India???s goal-scoring spree in the 26^th minute. Dilpreet Singh netted in the 54^th minute while Mandeep Singh and Lalil Upadhyay completed the thrashing in the 57^th and 60^th minutes respectively. They were very sure and knew how to defend well and then attack on the counter. The only time when India build a meaningful move was when Ramandeep Singh stole the ball in the half line.

He ran towards the opposition striking circle but was unable to fire it in. he was found out for not releasing the ball quickly enough in order to make the move. Hence the opportunity was not taken. However the counter attack and 3 goals in just 6 minutes was simply superb..

It was only in the last five minutes of the first quarter that the Indians began showing more purpose in attack and Mandeep Singh earned the team???s first penalty corner. Harmanpreet???s low shot was well saved by Imran Butt but Harendra Singh???s boys were beginning to stamp their authority.
