Twitter Reactions: Wishes pour in as 'Sir' Ravindra Jadeja celebrates 29th Birthday

Talented Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been quite a revolution for India with his multi-talents as a cricketer. The solid all-rounder celebrates his 29th birthday today on 6th December, and Twitter was flooded with messages wishing luck to the Saurashtra cricketer.

Jadeja made his debut for the Indian limited overs side in the year of 2009 against Sri Lanka. The lanky cricketer was primarily selected for his batting abilities in the death overs lower down the order, and he went onto justify his selection chipping in with crucial runs and match winning performances pretty often.

The highlight of Jadeja’s T20 career came under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni both in the national side as well as the Chennai Super Kings in the lucrative Indian Premier League. He turned out to be the legendary captain’s one of the most lethal weapons and will forever remember as on of the brightest prospects cultivated by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

As far as Tests are concerned, Jadeja’s first Test cap for India came against the English at Nagpur. Dhoni saw Jadeja’s potential as a bowler and used him tactically to break crucial partnerships. Dhoni’s belief brought out the best in him, and soon he became a real asset to the team both with bat and ball. Jadeja’s acrobatic fielding was something which was never in doubt. Full stretched dives, lightning quick speed, and sudden runouts are something we can readily associate with the player.

However, Jadeja’s major high in Tests came under Virat Kohli when he aced the ICC Test rankings for bowlers and all-rounders both. The home series against Australia earlier in 2017 was the turning point of his Test bowling career where he announced himself as one of the most deadly spinners of the current generation.
