Australia vs India 2018: Twitter Reacts as India Finishes Day 2 on a High

Cheteshwar Pujara scored his second ton of the series well-supported by other batsmen as Indian National Cricket team declared their first innings on 443 for seven on day two of the Boxing Day Test. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli took a courageous decision to have a go at the Australian batsmen at the fag end of the day. However, the hosts resisted well to finish the day without losing any wickets.
While Kohli showcased patience, and some delectable drives, between his bouts of luck, Cheteshwar Pujara was steadfast in his methods. Nathan Lyon briefly threatened to work Pujara over, but Pujara managed to beat the legside trap with fluent drives through the offside, one of which also got him his 17th Test ton.
Kohli came out with intent in the second session and took on Australia’s short ball strategy. However, he holed out to the third man giving Mitchell Starc his first wicket of the innings. Pujara’s vigil ended soon after with Cummins found his off-stump to end 319-ball innings.
Rohit Sharma (63*) and Rishabh Pant (39) played some shots as the visitor’s declared their innings at 447 for seven. India will look upon their bowlers to do well as they aim to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

I cannot believe Australia have Pat Cummins in readiness to come out as nightwatchman. He bowled 34 overs pounding the ball in on a slow deck and was on the field through. If anything, the next batsman should say, you rest I'll bat.

Australia safely through to stumps. Bumrah cranking up the pace. Will have another bite of the cherry on the morning of Day 3. #AUSvIND

Australia survive but only just!! Indian bowling has already started asking questions. And the ball is very much new for tomorrow morning. Day 3 nicely set up. India isn’t losing this Test. Can they win and make it 2-1?

Always a good sight to see Aussies chasing leather on home soil in test match. They look pretty ordinary in neutral conditions. #INDvsAUS

For all those who tag India’s batting unit as ‘one man show’, kindly look at Cheteshwar Pujara’s Numbers in the ongoing series. He has scored more runs than his captain so far. #INDvsAUS

Ind had slow but solid bat in 1st day-215/2
Then 2nd day We were hopping aggressive batting from Ind for getting earlier a big total.
Today when Ind Lost their captain near 300 at 293/3 Why not did promote stroke player? Will slow bat reason for drawn?#INDvsAUS@samiprajguru— ?? रवि प्रताप सिंह ?? (@ravipratap913) December 27, 2018

Sporting and Gutsy declaration by Kohli.
Don't think any other Indian captain or most of the non Indian captains would have done that at such scoreline on a flat and super slow pitch.
Some nerve after very irritating display of batting by Indian batsmen.#INDvsAUS— Suyash Bharadwaj (@Suyash75) December 27, 2018

India batted just like a champion. Timely declaration by @imVkohli . with 444/7 on board Indian pacers can really dictate terms for the next 7 overs. #IndvsAus
