DC vs RCB: Twitter Reacts As Royal Challengers Bangalore Cruise Past Delhi Capitals To Record Their 4th Win Of IPL 2022

Two heavyweights of the Indian Premier League, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore collided against each other in the 27th match of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rishabh Pant won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. The Delhi bowlers did not disappoint as they got rid of the RCB top 3 in the first 8 overs.

Virat Kohli once again fell cheaply as he was run out by Lalit Yadav. However, Glenn Maxwell carried the onslaught from the other end as he smashed his maiden half-century of IPL 2022. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals for RCB in the first 10 overs and that’s when Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik came up with a match-saving partnership.

Dinesh and Shahbaz helped RCB post a giant total of 189 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. As the Delhi batters walked in to bat, no other batter apart from David Warner looked settled on the track. David, however, played a brilliant knock and he scored his 2nd half-century of IPL 2022.

Although Delhi looked on course to chase the target being 94-2 in the 12th over, what followed was a collapse from the entire Delhi middle-order as the RCB bowlers got their team back in the game. Rishabh Pant looked dangerous but a magnificent catch from Virat Kohli ended his knock of 34 runs from just 17 balls. RCB eventually won the game by 16 runs to go on the 3rd spot in the points table.
