That Ravi Shastri loved his fair share of drinks is a commonly known fact and so depending on how Team India does on the field, his drinking habits are either mocked or scorned on social media.
And, so with the second Test ending up in two days and the fact that it is taking place in the state of Gujarat- which is a dry state- a meme has been going viral on social media.
The meme involves the photo of Ravi Shastri, who is saying ‘you thought I’d stay in a dry state for five days’
Journalist Shobha De posted the meme on her Twitter timeline which she captioned as ‘Smart!” besides tagging Ravi Shastri’s official handle.
Shastri responded back by writing that it feels good to have such banter that brings smiles on faces in these tough times.
“Love the banter ! Feels good to bring some smiles in these tough times,” Ravi Shastri replied.

That said, Ravi Shastri’s entire focus would now be on the fourth and final Test match of the series. Even though India can no longer lose the series, the final Test is crucial for them as far as qualification for the ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand is concerned.
India needs to ensure that they win or at least draw the final Test in Ahmedabad to seal their spot in the summit clash which will take place at Lord’s between June 18-22.
If India is successful in achieving its goal, it will be another feather in the already illustrious cap of Ravi Shastri, who has presided over consecutive Test series wins in Australia during his stint as head coach.
