The 24-year-old Pakistan National Cricket Team mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed had a dream start to his career as he bagged a remarkable 5-wicket haul in the action-packed first session on his Test debut against England National Cricket Team.
The second Test match of the three-match series between Pakistan and England is being played from December 9 to 13 at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. The Ben Stokes & Co. have a 1-0 lead in the series, having won the first Test dominantly by 74 runs.

In the Multan Test, England won the toss and opted to bat first. They followed their “Bazball” approach and played an aggressive brand of cricket. All the Pakistani bowlers were smashed for runs, but only Abrar Ahmed was among the wickets.
In the first session before lunch, England posted 180/5 on the board in 33 overs, while batting at an amazing run rate of 5.45.

Notably, the English batters didn’t look comfortable against the debutant Abrar Ahmed in the first session and the mystery spinner bagged all five wickets. He dismissed Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root and Harry Brook to finish the session with impressive figures of 13-0-70-5.
Meanwhile, Abrar Ahmed has become the 13th Pakistan bowler to take a five-wicket haul on his Test debut. Also, the 24-year-old has become the first Pakistan bowler in the history of Test cricket to bag 5 wickets in the first session on Test debut and overall only the third debutant in the history to bag a 5-wicket haul before lunch on the opening day of a Test match.

Sindh played majority firstclass matches in Rawalpindi in recent firstclass season. Surprisingly Abrar Ahmed (Sindh) was unpicked in the Rawalpindi Test despite being most successful spinner on the green pitches of Pindi Cricket Stadium in recent QuaideAzam Trophy. #PAKvENG
