Fans on Twitter missed Rishabh Pant after India’s horrific show with the bat in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia At The Oval, England. They recalled how the keeper-batter saved the team from collapses in overseas conditions and brought them back into the game. 

India had a disastrous outing with the bat on the Day 2 of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship Final. After they bundled out Australia for 469 runs, it was expected that they would make a solid effort with the bat. But that wasn’t the case as it was a typical Indian collapse in ICC knockout games.

India after having a decent 30 runs opening partnership was reduced to 71/4 in no time. Ravindra Jadeja (48) and Ajinkya Rahane (29*) stitched a crucial 71 runs for the 5th wicket but it was only a matter of time as Nathan Lyon removed the all-rounder to jolt the opposition further.

Apart from these two batters, no one managed to get past the 20-run mark. They didn’t read the balls properly and ended up giving their wickets. At the end of Day 2, India was 151/5 and are still 318 runs behind Australia’s total of 469 runs.
