India vs Windies 2018: Twitter Reacts as India Continues Strengthens Grip
Updated - 05 Oct 2018, 07:26 PM
India showed no mercy for the depleted Windies side as the Day two of the first Test match belong completely to the hosts. The Indian team put a gargantuan total of 649 after Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja scored hundreds. In fact, it was a maiden Test match hundred for the Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Furthermore, India was able to scalp six wickets to further push the Windies on the backfoot.
Thus, it was once again a dominating performance from the number one Test side. Meanwhile, India started the day with aplomb as Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant got off to a flying start.
India continues its domination.
The Indian wicketkeeper was the aggressor and batted in the topmost gear. However, Pant was not able to complete his second Test hundred as he tried to play an attacking shot when he was on 92 runs.
However, Ravindra Jadeja was the star of the day. Jadeja scored his maiden Test hundred as he batted in the topmost gear. It was a fine knock from the Indian all-rounder as he batted in the topmost gear.
Jadeja scored his first hundred after playing 38 Test matches. Thus, it was an emotional moment for the Indian all-rounder
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami provided a great start to the Indian team as he scalped two wickets. Shami bowled a Jaffa to get rid of Windies captain Kraigg Brathwaite. However, Windies were disappointing with both bat as well as the ball. Therefore, it was a complete performance from India as they have put their noses in front.
Windies are tottering for 94-6 and thus they trail by a huge margin of 555 runs. Thus, India is expected to win by an innings margin the way things are going.
