IPL 2018: Twitter Goes Savage on Glenn Maxwell as CSK Restricts Delhi Under Par Score

The business-end week of the IPL saw back to back classic T20 encounters over the last four days. However, the fixture on Friday turned out to be a dead rubber with Chennai Super Kings already qualifying for the playoffs. And, Delhi Daredevils already out of contention long back in the tournament.
That said, there was no shortage of excitement at Ferozshah Kotla with the crowd welcoming Superkings and MS Dhoni by dressing up in yellow.
Prior to this match, the ground witnessed various high scoring thrillers this season. As a result, DD’s captain Shreyas Iyer went on the record to state that 190 is just par batting first.
As it turned out, the hosts struggled to bring down the hammer on CSK bowlers consistently to post a target around 190. The likes of Lungi Ngidi, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur ended up choking the Daredevils batters.
After a sluggish start provided from the top order, Harshal Patel and Vijay Shankar propelled the Delhi Daredevils score to 162. However, the failure of Glenn Maxwell was the centre of attraction within the masses on Twitter.
