The Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar Azam played an extraordinary knock in the second Test match of the 3-match Test series against the Pat Cummins-led Australia National Cricket Team at the National Stadium, Karachi.

In the first innings of Pakistan Babar was able to score just 36 runs before getting dismissed by Swepson. However, in the second innings, he played a terrific knock, which many fans believe is Babar Azam’s best Test knock.

Pat Cummins-led Australia gave a huge target of 506 runs to the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the second Test match of the series. While chasing the target Pakistan lost the wickets of Azhar Ali for 6 and Imam-ul-Haq for 1. However, Babar Azam, who came out to bat when Pakistan were at 21/2, and Abdullah Shafique added exceptional 228 runs together before the latter was dismissed by Pat Cummins at the score of 96. Also, Fawad Alam got out early but Babar kept fighting from the one end.

Meanwhile, Babar then went on to add amazing 115 runs with wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, before getting dismissed by spinner Nathan Lyon in the 160th over of the innings.

Babar Azam fell just 4 runs short of a well-deserved double century as his innings ended at the score of 196 runs off 425 balls, including 21 fours and 1 six.

Captain Babar achieved several major milestones during his terrific knock. He became the first captain in the history of Test cricket to reach the 190 runs mark in the 4th innings of a Test match.

He now holds the record of scoring the most runs as a captain in the 4th innings of a Test match. He went past the likes of Mike Atherton, who scored 185* in the 4th innings as a captain, Congdon, who scored 176 rin uns the 4th innings as a captain, and Don Bradman, who scored 173*. Also, Babar Azam has become the only 4th player in history to face 400+ balls in the 4th innings of the match.
