Pakistan and South Africa locked horns in the second ODI at Johannesberg and once again the visitors won the toss and elected to field first. South Africa posted a mammoth total of 341 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 50 overs as Temba Bavuma, Quinton de Kock, and David Miller, all came up with half-centuries.

Twitter Reacts As Fakhar Zaman Misses His ODI Double Hundred By Just 7 Runs

The Pakistan run-chase didn’t begin on a high note for the visitors as the Proteas pacers exerted pressure right from the first go. Imam-ul-Haq and captain Babar Azam were dismissed cheaply and so was the rest of the middle-order as the Men in Green once lurked at 120 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

However, Fakhar Zaman had different ideas as he kept ticking the scoreboard from one end. Later, he showed a brilliant explosive arsenal as he demolished the Proteas bowlers all over the park. However, unfortunately, he was dismissed on 193 runs as he was run out by Aiden Markram and missed his second ODI double century by just 7 runs. Twitter went mad at Fakhar Zaman’s innings and reacted wildly.

Fakhar Zaman came up with a valiant knock in the second innings as he scored 193 runs off just 155 balls but this wasn’t enough for the hosts to see them through. Now, the series decider will take place between both the teams on April 07 at Centurion, followed by a four-match T20I series between the two giants of world cricket.
