On Sunday, Twitter drew a meme fest when a video appeared online as Niroshan Dickwella, the Sri Lankan wicketkeeper, smashed his teammates’ face while celebrating one of England’s wickets. Notably, the England National Cricket Team is taking on Sri Lanka in the first Test of the two-match series at Galle.
Batting first, Sri Lanka were nailed by the English bowlers as their entire innings winded up to just 135 runs on Day 1 of the Test match. England smashed the Sri Lankan bowlers all over the park as English skipper Joe Root smashed a scintillating double century at the Galle. The Sri Lankans, however, staged a massive comeback in the third innings as they finished it on 359 runs.

But due to the first innings’ short score, the Englishmen were given a very decent target of just 74 runs to chase. However, the Lankan bowlers showed great determination and picked three wickets early on.

England are in a commanding position in the game as they have 7 wickets left with just 36 runs more to chase. Jonny Bairstow and Daniel Lawrence are at the crease with the Englishmen having an entire day to chase the meagre score.
