In-form David Warner made the most of his form in the ongoing home season by blasting his first Test ton in the ongoing second Test against Pakistan at Adelaide Oval. The left-handed batsman, who had a disastrous Ashes campaign, has looked almost unstoppable at home. Pakistan have absolutely no idea about how to stop the Australia opener.

In the series-opener at the Gabba, Warner slammed 154. It has been followed by a stunning knock of 335 not out. Warner reached his triple century off 389 balls with the help of 37 fours. The hard-hitting batsman showed remarkable patience and composure and hit his first six of the innings only after crossing the 300-run mark.

Warner’s score is now the highest individual score at the Adelaide Oval surpassing Don Bradman’s 299. Australia declared their innings just after Warner went past the highest Test scores of Don Bradman and Mark Taylor (334). Warner’s 335* is now the 2nd highest individual Test score by an Australian behind Matthew Hayden’s 380 against Zimbabwe.

With Pakistan bowlers failing to cause any trouble to Warner, the southpaw was looking well set to break Hayden’s record and even Brian Lara’s 400. However, the Australian team-management once again kept the team’s interest ahead of the individual as Tim Paine declared on a mammoth 589 for 3. But the cricket fraternity was not at all impressed with the declaration.

As soon as Paine asked Warner and Matthew Wade to return back to pavilion, the fans and others took to Twitter to slam the Australia captain. While some asked for his sacking, some said that he hates cricket. But the common sentiment was clear as not many were impressed with the decision and could not stop themselves from berating Tim Paine.

Here are some of the reactions:
