Twitter Tears Apart BCCI And Selectors For Dropping Sanju Samson

Team India, on Sunday, dropped Sanju Samson from the T20I squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand. India will leave for New Zealand later this month and will play five T20Is, three ODIs and three Tests against the Black Caps. The T20I series will kickstart the challenging tour on January 24 as India will be looking to continue their fine run.
Star opener Rohit Sharma has returned to the team after being rested for the series against Sri Lanka. Along with Rohit, India have also recalled fast-bowler Mohammed Shami in the T20I side. Rohit and Shami are the only new faces in the squad that was picked for the series against Sri Lanka while Sanju Samson was the only player to face the axe.

Well, his exclusion was very much on the cards. The right-handed batsman was recalled to the team only because others were rested. After making his debut way back in 2015, Sanju Samson played only his second game for India when he got the chance in India’s playing eleven when the Men in Blue took on Sri Lanka in the third and final T20I on Saturday.
Sanju Samson had earned a recall from the national team after a long gap of four years during the Bangladesh T20Is in November. However, he did not play a single game and was surprisingly dropped for the series against West Indies. But an injury to Shikhar Dhawan led to another recall although he did not play any game against West Indies either.
He managed to retain his spot for the Sri Lanka series series too only because Rohit Sharma was rested. Samson, nonetheless, remains in picture as he is already there in New Zealand as the selectors have drafted him into India A squad for the white-ball series against New Zealand A. However, the fans were not happy with the selectors’ decision and did not waste any time in taking to Twitter and slam them.
Here are some of the reactions from those angry fans:

What the hell…… Why is Samju removed from the squad?? Can't understand the basis of judgement and selection @BCCI
How do we give 15-20 matches to few players to prove themselves and remove Sanju after one match#everytimestory

You back pant saying he needs more matches. And you ask sanju samson to pack things by one innings. And before that innings he was announced as official water boy for the team without oppertunity. Even in all these opportunities pant failed. #SanjuSamson

Giving one chance to sanju samson and dropping is ?Heart breaking☹️

It is injustice shown to Sanju Samson by giving just 1 game to prove his mettle. If that's so then Rishabh Pant should have been dropped long time back. What kinda selection is this by MSK Prasad & co? How many matches MSK Prasad & co played altogether? Can BCCI disclose that pls?

Nothing but a 10-ball 50 would've given @IamSanjuSamson another chance. He isn't even in the team photo. Luck is @RishabhPant17's cousin, @imVkohli his uncle, @BCCI his dad. I wish what is written on his a**e is written on my head @ESPNcricinfo @blackcaps @cricbuzz @CricketNDTV pic.twitter.com/K9tltp8laP

What would have happend if sanju made 30 plus for last match? I dont think any player like Pant got chances in cricket history with poor form. Please remember about our great players like Sachin,Ganguly,Dravid etc.etc..did they get chance like this when they were out of form???

Forget about Sanju Samson, let it be any player, you take someone in the team and let him play only for a single match and dropping him from further series! What kind of selection process is this! #INDvNZ #INDvAUS

Why you still keep on giving many chances to pant, even after too many unsuccessful innings.Kindly include Sanju Samson and check his ability

Feel sad for Sanju Samson as he didn't do anything wrong. Selected after 4 years and Sitting in the bench and got one opportunity where he had to go from ball 1. It's actually little unfair for any youngsters. Should've play him in full series before dropping.

Sanju Samson deserves to be in the side … Pant absolutely not worth it at this point in time …

#SanjuSamson being dropped reminds me of this scene and the dialogue from Dhoni's biopic !!
"Arey yeh kaun genius log hai jinhe sirf 3 hi balls main player ka potential pata chal jaata hai"
In Sanju's case, it's just 2 balls ?#INDvNZ #INDvsNZ #NZvIND pic.twitter.com/reo9uAhInv

Can Anyone ask them, why they dropped #SanjuSamson . He played only one match, how can you drop anyone after one inning. What would have been happen if team management drop Shivam after one inning, where he scored only 10+ runs. (1/1) pic.twitter.com/mYDiviaJ12

And the tale continues..
Sanju Samson synonyms consistency…for no reason he is consistently forced to sit in the benches & and he'll be consistently asked to serve drinks..
Feeling sad for this champion?#SanjuSamson pic.twitter.com/SH4C1MvZNr— Amal Sudhakaran ?? (@amal_sachinism) January 5, 2020
