Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) bowlers piled up miseries against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsmen as the visitors crumbled to below par score of 127 for nine in their 20 overs.

Having won the toss and opted to field first, Super Kings bowlers were on top from the word go. They removed dangerous Brendon McCullum only in the second over. Both Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers could not deliver for their team in an all-important encounter.

On the other hand, Kohli was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja after a poor shot from the skipper. On the other hand, AB de Villiers looked scratchy in his batting after being fit in time for the game. The South African was stumped by Mahendra Singh Dhoni after attempting for a reverse sweep.

After three wickets, other Bangalore batsmen crumbled to the pressure. However, Parthiv Patel was playing his first game for the franchise this season and scored an important half-century.

Moreover, the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Patel was quite impressive in his stay as he held the innings together.

Meanwhile, Bangalore lost Mandeep Singh before losing southpaw Patel. None of the proper batsmen managed a double-digit score apart from Parthiv Patel.

But, New Zealand bowler Tim Southee was pretty impressive with the bat as he scored an unbeaten 36 runs from 26 balls. His innings has propelled Royal Challengers to a modest score.

Amongst the Chennai bowlers, Ravindra Jadeja was the chief architect with the ball. The left-arm spinner took three wickets and wrecked the Bangalore’s middle order.

In addition, ace off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was also quite excellent in the middle overs as he bagged two wickets.
