Twitter Erupts as Virat Kohli Ties The Knot With Anushka Sharma in Italy

The journey which began on the sets of a television commercial a few years back reached the highest stage of relationship on Monday (December 11), as India skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have reportedly tied the knots in Italy.

According to the media reports, the couple married in Italy over the weekend, and an announcement is expected sooner than later. Several sections on Twitter have taken this as confirmed and are tweeting congratulations.

Speculations were rife over the wedding since the India skipper decided to take rest from the ongoing series against Sri Lanka and the actress along with her family was spotted leaving Mumbai last week. The presence of a priest along with her entourage further fueled the speculations.

The rumours, however, were doused after Anushka Sharma’s spokesperson dismissed them. However, it seems the step was taken by the actress’ camp just to keep the matter under control. The latest report is suggesting the two got married in the traditional Punjabi style in a Tuscan resort on Saturday.
