Twitter Welcomes Deepak Chahar Inclusion in India's Squad for England T20I

Deepak Chahar and Krunal Pandya named as replacements for injured Washington Sundar and Jasprit Bumrah, respectively for the three-match T20I series against England.

Chahar was an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings squad who won the IPL very recently. He was quite magnificent in the powerplay overs.

The right-arm pacer swung the ball quite prodigiously and made many top-class batsmen look clueless in front of his bowling. Chahar bowled some stunning deliveries to Kane Williamson who finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer.

Chahar was also part of India A squad who stormed into the final of the Tri-Series in England after a huge 203-run victory against the WIndies A.

Deepak bagged a five-wicket haul and was consistent for India with the new ball. Hence, his call-up to the national side is no surprise. However, he will pretty happy with the fact that the moment came so early.

Chahar had bagged 13 wickets in five matches in the tri-series and had looked the best Indian bowler without a doubt.

If he does get a chance to make his debut, Chahar will eye to impress and make sure he is on the radar for the next two years. Meanwhile coming to Krunal Pandya, he also deserved a place in the team given his consistency for the Mumbai Indians.

Krunal had been superb in all three departments of the game. Krunal had been an intelligent left-arm spinner and has been a gutsy left-handed batsman.

However, in the presence of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, it will be unlikely that Krunal will get a chance. However, given his batting prowess, he might well get a look in one of the matches.
