Shortly after India won their fourth U19 World Cup in history earlier this month, BCCI announced cash rewards of INR 50 Lakh for Rahul Dravid. While the other members of the coaching staff were rewarded with INR 25 lakh each.
The members of the Indian team were scheduled to receive INR 30 lakhs. However, the disparity within the rewards did not go down well with Rahul Dravid. The Wall of Indian cricket requested BCCI for equal rewards for the other coaching staff as well.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Sunday accepted Rahul Dravid’s plea and announced a sum of INR 25 Lakhs to each of the members of the coaching staff, including Dravid.

After the recent development from BCCI, fans on Twitter lauded Dravid for his selfless gesture and demanded him to be the next Prime Minister of the country.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to this development
Can we please just elect Dravid to the post of PM?
I know it sounds silly, but this is the kind of person India needs. Someone who cares for others. Everything else can be learnt, but decency & kindness come from within.

Even after the sensational win from the U-19 boys, Rahul Dravid hogged all the attention for his good work for the team. During the press conference, Dravid claimed to feel embarrassed about stealing all the thunder from the young Indian team.
“Coaching this team I tend to get a lot of attention, but it is really about the quality of support staff that we have had. The effort they have put in has been amazing,” stated Dravid during the press conference.

“It’s a bit embarrassing at times because I tend to get a lot of attention and focus. It is really about the support staff and the quality of people that we’ve had. I don’t want to mention names but everyone in the support staff has put in a great effort. We do the best for the kids,” concluded Rahul Dravid.
After putting in his heart and soul for the country on the field for almost two decades, The Great Indian Wall is now serving the country by mentoring young Indian players into the highest level.
