December 6 will be a Super Sunday for Team India fans as not one but two Indian teams will be in action in Australia at the same time. While Virat Kohli will be leading Team India on Sunday and Tuesday during the second and third T20I in Sydney, Ajinkya Rahane-led India A will be in action elsewhere in Sydney.

Rahane will be leading India A against Australia A during the three-day warm-up game from December 6 to 8. Two days of that warm-up game will coincide with Team India’s fixtures against Australia. The scheduling for the tour has been such that things had to be tighter.

For the India A game, Test specialists like Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Wriddhiman Saha (wicket-keeper), Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj will be in action along with some others who are not part of the XI in the T20Is.

The players will be preparing themselves for the upcoming four-match Test series against the hosts, starting on December 17. Most of the Test specialists have not played a single match in Australia so far while the other players have been busy in the white-ball series.

With the first Test being a pink ball contest, the Indian team will also have a pink ball tour game, from December 11 to 13, also in Sydney. All of India’s Test players are set to play in that game.

Jadeja out of T20Is:

Meanwhile, India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing T20I series due to a concussion sustained after he was struck in the head while batting in the first game on Friday. After India’s innings, he was replaced for the rest of the match by Yuzvendra Chahal.

Prior to being hit on the head in the final over of India’s innings, Jadeja had also suffered a hamstring injury and was struggling to stand on his feet. He has been replaced in the squad by fast-bowler Shardul Thakur.
