UAE vs Nepal 2019 - Paras Khadka Hits Maiden Ton in ODIs, Helps Nepal win First Bilateral Series

What a day to be alive if you’re a Nepal Cricket Team fan. On Monday (January 28th), the visitors defeated the UAE team by four wickets and clinched their first-ever series win. Not only this, their captain, Paras Khadka became the first player from the country to hit a hundred in international cricket. Meanwhile, there was no lack of support from the crowd, as their team achieved a unique feat.
Nepal thumps UAE to write history
In the three-match ODI series against the UAE in Dubai, both teams entered the last match with the scoreline reading 1-1. As the hosts had won the first match by three wickets, Nepal returned in style to equalise with a 145-run win in the second game.
Meanwhile, in the deciding clash in Dubai, Nepal won the toss and elected to bowl. The UAE didn’t start well, losing both of their openers under two runs. Though a few limited partnerships saw the runs coming, it was 87 from Shaiman Anwar and 59 from Mohammad Boota which propelled the hosts to 254 for six.
In their chase, the visiting team lost both of their openers in the first 15 overs, when the scoreline read 81 for two. Then came the innings, the country has been waiting to witness. Paras Khadka, their captain, led from the front and scored a century; first by a Nepal in international cricket. Off 109 balls, he scored 115 runs, hitting 15 fours and one six. Meanwhile, a few partnerships, later on, helped Nepal chase the target with four wickets in hand.
