Umesh Yadav Reveals Captaincy Styles of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni

One wrong over can turn the tables for a bowler and affects his place in the team compared to the batsmen, who will get a bit of long run. Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav speaks on the captain’s impact on a bowler and also talk about the styles of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

Both MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli have been exceptional for team India in all formats of the game. They both led the team to memorable victories in the international arena with their astute captaincy.

The premium fast bowler of India termed all the skippers are unique in their right. Explaining his statement, he added MS Dhoni is quite calm and cool in his approach. Coming to Virat Kohli, he quoted the Delhi lad is very aggressive and he delivers the best when he is in that mode.

Further, he went on to say adding the fast bowler needs a captain, who understand the situations. He concluded saying there is joy in playing the game when the skipper is right behind you backing to bowl better.

”Everyone is different. Mahi [MS Dhoni]  Bhai was very calm and cool. Virat [Kohli] is different, he does well when he’s aggressive. The more aggressive he is, the better he plays so that suits him. The captain should give the team confidence and stand with them. Both do that, just that they do it differently,” Umesh Yadav quoted.

”As a fast bowler, you just need a captain who understands you. He should know when to talk to you, and what you want, when to leave you alone to a bowl and when to step in and say, “Umesh, bowl like this.” There is joy in working with a captain who has confidence in you, who says, “Tu bindaas daal ” I have played under quite a few captains. I have liked playing under both Virat and Mahi the most. They both have given me freedom at the start and helped me if my plans weren’t working,” he inferred.

However, as Umesh Yadav said, each one has his way of dealing the things. MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli has got great characters and led the team to perfection with their mantras.
