Brisbane Heat coach and former New Zealand cricketer Daniell Vettori believes star batsman Chris Lynn can make an immediate impact on his return from injury for the Heat in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).
The two time player of the tournament, Lynn’s return to cricket from the shoulder injury was cut short by a slight hamstring strain. After missing out on the first two games, the hard-hitting opener is all set to return to action against Sydney Thunder at the Gabba.
The 27-year-old Lynn’s rise to the Australian ODI team was cut short due to neck and shoulder problems. However, the crowd is expecting some power hitting from Lynn when he returns, and his coach Vettori feels that he has worked hard enough to match the hype.

“It’s not that easy and there might be those expectations (from the fans) there. But he looks fit and strong and is feeling confident about his batting, which is the important thing,” Vettori was heard saying about Lynn.
Vettori feels there is no reason that Lynn can’t push to achieve new heights in all formats once he enjoys an injury-free run, while Lynn just wants to play cricket again.
“It’s killing me, to be honest. I’m not a great watcher of cricket. It’s hard sitting on the sideline. But I’m confident the body will hold together, not just for the rest of the tournament but, for the future,” Lynn stated this weak.

Inform Joe Burns has also returned to the squad after missing Saturday’s loss to Melbourne. However, he is less likely to be benched for the upcoming match.
“It was prudent to have him in the 13 and give him a chance,” Vettori signed off.
