Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and India bowler Deepak Chahar celebrated a special occasion on October 7, 2021, Thursday, as he proposed to his girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj after his team’s final league match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the ongoing IPL 2021.

Chahar was seen going into the Dubai Stadium stands after CSK lost their last match, but this didn’t spoil the occasion for the Rajasthan team captain, as he Chahar went down on one knee and proposed to Jaya, who after a brief moment of surprise and awe, said yes and everyone celebrated as evident from the video shared by Deepak Chahar on his Instagram account and by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on their official Twitter account.

Chahar’s girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj works in a corporate company in Delhi. She is also the sister of reality show MTV Splitsvilla Season 2 winner Siddharth Bharadwaj, who is not only a VJ but also a model.

His sister Malti Chahar and younger cousin brother Rahul Chahar, who plays for Mumbai Indians and has also been named in the main Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2021, both congratulated the lucky pair on social media.

However, the fun didn’t end there as when the newly confirmed couple returned back to the hotel, the Chennai Super Kings players, staff, and all members of the family were waiting in the lounge of their hotel to celebrate Chahar and Jaya’s moment with them.

This began with the CSK players cheering the couple as they entered the hotel, and continued with them cutting a beautiful cake and feeding one another a bite. However, things took a rowdy turn as MS Dhoni then caught hold of Deepak from behind and the remaining of the CSK players plastered the bowler with cake. Even Jaya was not spared as her face was also seen decorated with cake makeup.

Meanwhile, CSK will have a few days off before they prepare for the first qualifier of the IPL 2021 which will be played on October 10^th, Sunday in Dubai, where they will most likely face off against Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals.
