Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah continued his rhythm from Day 1 into the next day as he took out the opener, Aiden Markram, in the very first over.
Bumrah had removed Dean Elgar in the dying moments of the first day with an absolute peach. He was looking like the most dangerous bowler and he began Day 2 on the same note.
After inducing an edge off the first ball, Bumrah got one to tail back in. Markram was unsure if the ball would come in and ended up shouldering arms. The new ball did more than enough to come back in and hit the top of off pole to signal the perfect start for the visitors.

Earlier, India opted to bat first for the third time in a row on a cloudy morning in Cape Town. They lost both their openers early before Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli stitched a 62-run partnership.
Kohli looked his best in recent times and displayed great determination and patience against a stubborn South African bowling attack. While the other batters around him kept falling to poor shots, Kohli reached his fifty and was on his way to a hundred but ran out of partners before edging one off Kagiso Rabada.
Eventually, the visitors folded up for 223 with Rabada being the pick of the bowlers. Bumrah managed to remove the sturdy Elgar before the end of the day’s play to even out the day.
