India National Cricket Team head coach Rahul Dravid got irritated during Day 2 of the first Test match between India and Sri Lanka at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh, when Pathum Nissanka’s wicket got ruled out due to a no-ball bowled by the premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
Batting in their first innings, Sri Lanka National Cricket Team openers were not able to score good runs. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne contributed only 28 runs off 71 balls and Lahiru Thirimanne scored 17 runs off 60, the former was dismissed by spinner Ravindra Jadeja and Thirimanne became Ravichandran Ashwin’s first wicket of the innings.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the 32nd over of the Sri Lankan innings and he bamboozled batsman Pathum Nissanka with an incredible slow cutter.
He went for the celebrations after he had castled the Sri Lanka batter but the third umpire gave a signal that Bumrah had overstepped and the delivery was declared no-ball.
This is not the first time Bumrah has dismissed a batter with a no-ball in Test cricket as he had dismissed Marsh in 2018 and Robinson in 2021 with his no-balls. Head coach Rahul Dravid was not at all happy with the no-ball bowled by Bumrah and he was irritated after the Sri Lanka batter had survived.

Earlier, in the first innings of the match, Indian batters dominated and posted 574 runs on the board at the loss of 8 wickets before Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma decided to declare the innings.
Ravindra Jadeja was the best performer for the Indian team as his innings finished at 175* runs off 228 balls including 17 fours and 3 sixes. Many fans were upset after the declaration of India because Ravindra Jadeja, who looked in full control, was unable to smash his maiden double century.
