Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Rahul Tewatia struck on the second ball of his first spell in the ongoing clash against the Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rahul Tewatia ended a threatening knock from Moeen Ali, who belted a couple of sixes nonchalantly. Moeen Ali managed 26 runs, laced with a boundary and two sixes, before holing out to Riyan Parag at mid-wicket.

The dismissal occurred in the 10th over as Moeen Ali looked to increase Chennai Super Kings’ scoring rate to post a challenging total for the opposition. Tewatia fired a long-hop and it deserved to go for a maximum; unfortunately, the left-handed batsman mistimed it to mid-wicket. Riyan Parag, who had earlier caught Faf Du Plessis, took another casually.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field first and dismissed Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis reasonably early. Both the teams entered the match with unchanged line-ups in a bid to restore consistency to their campaign. The Royals and Super Kings have won one and lost one each. The Super Kings beat the Punjab Kings and lost to the Delhi Capitals. On the other hand, Sanju Samson’s side sustained defeat against the Punjab Kings and bounced back to emerge victorious against the Capitals.
