Indian white-ball captain Rohit Sharma followed in the footsteps of the previous two captains, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, and handed over the trophy to the debutantes and youngsters in the squad.
Following the completion of the whitewash on Friday, Rohit and co. moved forward to collect the PayTM trophy. After accepting the trophy, Rohit handed it over to Ravi Bishnoi, who was called up to the Indian team for the first time.
Rohit proceeded to move aside and let the youngsters soak in the clinical display in the 3-match ODI series against West Indies. The BCCI shared the video on its Twitter account.

“We have ticked a lot of boxes in this series” – Rohit Sharma
Expectedly, Rohit was quite happy with the way the team performed. While the middle-order stood up in times of difficulty and made up for the top-order’s failures, the inexperienced bowling attack took wickets in the powerplay and ensured that India would always stay ahead.
“Not looking at those (personal win numbers). We have ticked a lot of boxes in this series. Whatever we wanted to get out of the series, we got what we wanted. The noise will be around as long as we are playing.”
“We know we are playing a high-profile sport in India and people look up to us and watch us. As players and individuals, we know what we need to focus on. The outside noise doesn’t bother the dressing room. As long as we can come out and do what we are expected to do, that is very important,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
