Indian skipper Virat Kohli was once again involved in a conversation as he came to the aid of wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant, after a verbal exchange with South African batter, Rassie van der Dussen.
After the DRS controversy on Day 3 of the Cape Town Test, things continued to be intense. The tension on the field was palpable as both sides wrestled control before South Africa took over.
In the process, another DRS moment erupted and this time, it was Rassie at the forefront. Mohammed Shami’s delivery seemed to have nicked Rassie’s willow but there was no conclusive evidence to overturn the umpire’s on-field call.
As everybody was returning to take their positions on the field, Kohli had a brief chat with Rassie where he was overheard saying:
“Really? So you go after someone who is five years younger than you? Yeah? And then you are asking me if you sledge Rishabh?”

South Africa went on to win the match and the series 2-1 to script an incredible turnaround. After the defeat in Centurion, they were counted out but Dean Elgar and co. showed their fighting script and hammered the visitors by 7 wickets in both games.
