Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal came up with a funny response in typical fashion when former cricketer, Irfan Pathan, asked him where he would take Ravi Bishnoi for dinner after winning the second T20I against West Indies.

The question was asked in a cheeky manner as Bishnoi had fumbled Nicholas Pooran’s catch off Chahal for the second time in a row. In the first game, he managed to hold on to the ball at long-off but ended up making contact with the boundary ropes.

In the second T20I on Friday, Bishnoi grassed a straightforward catch at the highest level, leaving Chahal with his head in his hands. In the moment, it was quite a disappointing moment as Pooran was on 21 at the time.

He ended up making 62 from thereon but luckily for India, it didn’t matter in the end as the death bowlers held on to their nerves and eked out an 8-run victory to seal the series with a game to go.

In a conversation with the Star Sports panel after the match, Chahal was asked, “aur Bishnoi kahan pe dinner keliye leke jaa raha hai aapko? [so where is Bishnoi taking you for dinner?]

In response, Chahal said: “pehle toh usse mein kamre ke khopche mein leke jaunga. [firstly, I’ll take him to the corner in the room.]”

Pooran and Rovman Powell managed to stitch a 100-run partnership for the third wicket to take West Indies closer to the target of 187. However, Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar managed to defend 29 off the final two overs to hand India the series.
