Yusuf Pathan has made his comeback to competitive cricket after serving a ban of five months.

The 35-year-old all-rounder has been included in the 15-member Baroda side for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, as per the board release, his availability will depend on his fitness.

Pathan was banned by BCCI for five months after he failed the dope test. However, BCCI was satisfied with his response, and his ban was lifted on January 15, after he served it for five months. BCCI had asked Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) not to select the player. Hence, he was not selected in the squad for last four Ranji games and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Surprisingly, he was also not selected for the Super League of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He now made a comeback to competitive cricket and is all set to play the first game of the season. He was also bought by Sunriers Hyderabad during IPL auction for an amount of Rs 1.90 Crore.
