Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018: Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane to Join Mumbai in Semis

It seems like all the things are falling in place for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018. The in-form players, Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane are set to represent Mumbai in the semi-finals of the tournament. Earlier, they got the services of Rohit Sharma for the knock-outs while Ajinkya Rahane and Prithvi Shaw will furtherly strengthen the dugout. Recently, both the players finished their national duty on Sunday at Hyderabad when they were part of the Indian side against the Windies.
Ajit Agarkar confirms availability of Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane:
The former Indian fast bowler, Ajit Agarkar, who is also the selector of Mumbai’s state team confirmed the news citing all the three players will be available for the semifinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Initially, Prithvi Shaw was the part of the team in the first round of the tournament. However, he was called up to make his debut against the Windies, where he did exceptionally well.
He scored a century on his debut and followed it up beautifully in the second Test as well. Prithvi Shaw finished the first Test by bagging man of the match and received the man of the series for his entire performance in the series.
On the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane also played the initial part of the tournament and also performed as well. He is eyeing to get back into the Indian team to bag the crucial number four slot for the team India.
Mumbai progress in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018:
Mumbai finished top in the group stages with six victories in the eight games. Then, they crushed Bihar in the Quarter-finals to reach one step ahead to the coveted Trophy. The opponents of Mumbai will get decided on Monday.
