Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli shares a good bond with legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar and his son Arjun Tendulkar. Kambli recently grabbed the headlines when he posted a hilarious tweet to wish Arjun on his birthday.
Kambli and Sachin grew up together playing childhood cricket in Mumbai. They also starred in a record-breaking partnership at school-level cricket. While Sachin Tendulkar reached the epitome of success, Vinod Kambli lost the track and his cricketing career came to halt.
One of the talented left-handed batsmen, Kambli also shares a keen friendship with Arjun Tendulkar. They often chill together and Kambli also coached Arjun in the Mumbai Premier League earlier this year.
Vinod Kambli posted a hilarious tweet on Arjun Tendulkar’s birthday on September 24 (Tuesday). Alongside wishing the cricketer, Vinod Kambli longed for quick growth in his cricketing career just like his height.
“Happy Birthday Arjun. Wish your cricketing career keeps growing at the rate of your height!,” Kambli tweeted.

Meanwhile, Arjun Tendulkar is making the right noises as he aims to follow the footsteps of his father, Sachin Tendulkar. He has already represented India U19 and harbours the dream of playing for India. Moreover, the bowling all-rounder has also represented Mumbai in various age-group cricket and recently featured in the Mumbai Premier League.
Arjun trains with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in England and often attends practice session of Indian National Cricket Team as a net bowler.
