Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are among the most destructive batsmen in IPL 2020 and Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Shreyas Gopal likes to play against them. Gopal had proved to be a handful for the Jaipur franchise in the previous edition of IPL. He will also look to continue his momentum in the upcoming season.

Gopal said that Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are so versatile that he often gets jitters bowling against them. He also added that, a bowler, cannot really plan to get them out. The best a bowler could do is to assess the condition on a particular day and bowl to the best of their abilities.

“They are so destructive and versatile in their game that I get jitters while bowling to them even though I have got them out many times. They are probably two players against whom you cannot really come out with a plan,” Shreyas Gopal said.

“You can only try and assess conditions on that particular day, try and assess the wicket on that particular day and back your skills to the best of your abilities. And that’s about it. To bowl and play against them is the biggest privilege,” he added.

Kohli and de Villiers have stitched many crucial partnerships for RCB. However, they are yet to help the side clinch a IPL title.

RCB has the record of reaching three finals. RCB entered the final match last time in 2016 but since then they have been at the bottom of the table. Moreover, in 2019, the franchise  finished last with just 5 wins from 14 matches.

RCB has been bolstered with plenty of talents in their ranks. However, they have not been able to make the most of it. RCB have played with the likes of Chris Gayle, captain Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers in their side. But their bowling at the same time has been questionable. Mitchell Starc has missed out on playing for the franchise owing to injuries.
